A arte está na rua! | The art is on the street!

Pela sua excelente localização, a menos de 2kms do America Diamonds Hotel, mais propriamente na rua de Campolide, localiza-se uma das obras de “street art” mais emblemáticas da cidade. Chama-se «Flôr de Íris», é da autoria dos graffiters RAM e Klit, e dá as boas-vindas a todos os que passam pelo chamado «Corredor Verde» da cidade, que liga o parque Eduardo VII a Monsanto.

Para além das fachadas de prédios antigos transformadas em telas, como acontece num edifício perto do Saldanha agora casa de uma obra do graffiter espanhol Sam3, os pilares da ponte 25 de Abril são passagem obrigatória. Sob o tema «Natureza Viva» vários artistas nacionais “assinaram” estas colunas que suportam a ponte. O tamanho das criações cria impacto e permite-nos viajar desde o subsolo, a uma floresta, passando por um rio e um mar.

Uma das obras mais recentes da cidade e que merece a visita é o mural da artista Tamara Alves que celebra os 40 anos da Revolução de Abril. Esta criação que se situa na fachada norte do Fórum Lisboa destaca a luta, a dinâmica e a força do povo português na conquista pela sua liberdade.

As obras a descobrir são mais do que muitas e fazem justiça ao destaque que o portal «Huffinton Post» deu à capital, colocando-a no top 10 das melhores cidades para se ver “street art”.

Em Lisboa a arte urbana sempre coabitou muito bem com a cidade e a sua história. As criações que, de rua em rua, se vão descobrindo contam as histórias da gente e tornam-se a voz da própria urbe, o seu pulsar. A arte está na rua!

For its excellent location, less than 2kms from America Diamonds Hotel, in Campolide, is located one of the most iconic works of “street art” of the city . It is called “Flôr de Iris’, from the graffiters RAM and Klit, and gives a warm welcome to all who pass by so-called ‘Corredor Verde’ of the city, linking the Eduardo VII Park to Monsanto .

Beyond the facades of old buildings transformed into screens, such as in a building near Saldanha that now is the home for the work of Spanish graffiter SAM3, the pillars of the bridge April 25 are a mandatory visit. Under the theme ‘Living Nature’ different national artists “signed” these columns that support the bridge. The size of the creations allows us to travel from underground to a forest, to a river and a sea.

One of the latest works of the city that deserves a visit is the mural of the artist Tamara Alves which celebrates the 40th anniversary of the April Revolution. This creation that lies in the northern façade of the Lisbon Forum highlights the struggle, the dynamics and power of the Portuguese people in gaining their freedom.

There are many works to discover and that’s the reason why ‘Huffintong Post’ gave the portuguese capital a place in the top 10 best cities to see “street art”.
