Pela primeira vez, a maior e mais importante distinção da indústria musical internacional – o GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award – é atribuída a um artista português.

O Conselho Directivo (Board of Trustees) da Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences decidiu, por unanimidade, atribuir a Carlos do Carmo o Lifetime Achievement Award, galardão que distingue a obra das grandes referências do panorama musical internacional.
É a primeira vez que um artista português é agraciado com este prémio que distingue figuras lendárias da música mundial cujo legado engrandece o património cultural universal.

For the first time, the largest and most important distinction of the international music industry – the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award – is awarded to a Portuguese artist.
The Governing Board (Board of Trustees) of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences decided unanimously to assign the Carlos do Carmo the Lifetime Achievement Award, award that distinguishes the work of the major references of the international music scene.
It is the first time a Portuguese artist is awarded this prize that distinguishes legendary figures of the music world whose legacy magnifies the universal cultural heritage.
