“Discover the old world made new again” (Descubra o velho mundo tornado novo novamente) é o título de capa da edição de Agosto/Setembro da “National Geographic Traveler”. Uma imagem de Lisboa ilustra o mote da publicação de viagens da mais influente sociedade geográfica do mundo.
O artigo, que se insere na secção Explorers Club, acompanha uma “aventura” em registo “road trip” pela “interminável costa portuguesa” (no caso, um passeio por Lisboa e arredores e pela costa até Sagres). A inspiração são os “pioneiros marinheiros” portugueses — as primeiras grandes imagens, aliás, logo a abrir tanto a revista como o artigo, são, respectivamente, da Torre de Belém e do Padrão dos Descobrimentos.
Assinada por Janelle Nanos, a reportagem começa logo por avisar: “Portugal é feito para viajantes”.
Discover the old world made new again, is the cover title of August / September edition of the “National Geographic Traveler”. An image of Lisbon illustrates the motto of the publication of the most influential travel Geographic Society in the world.
The article, which inserts into the Explorers Club section, follows an “adventure” on record “road trip” through “endless Portuguese coast” (in this case, a walk through and around Lisbon and the coast to Sagres). The inspiration are the “pioneers sailors” Portuguese – the first large images, moreover, soon to open both the magazine and the article, are, respectively, the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries.
