Chega a Portugal um conceito de gelado diferente e que neste momento faz furor no Brasil e nos EUA. Este gelado tem na sua origem o México, onde é muito comum, sendo conhecido como “Paletas Mexicanas”. Estes gelados caracterizam-se por serem servidos no pauzinho e por conter uma percentagem de fruta muito acima dos restantes gelados artesanais que se podem encontrar em Lisboa, normalmente e dependendo da doçura da fruta a percentagem pode variar entre 0s 50%-70%. Também a textura dos gelados quer sejam base fruta ou base leite é completamente diferente e muito agradável.
